Vivek was last seen in ‘Dharala Prabhu’, a Tamil remake of the Hindi film ‘Vicky Donor’. Directed by Krishna Marimuthu, Harish Kalyan, Vivek and Tanya Hope, played the lead roles in the film. Vivek won the hearts of many in his role as Dr Kannadasan, who runs a fertility clinic in the film.
His co-star and actor Harish is devastated with the news of his passing away. Speaking to us on his experience working with Vivek, Harish says, “When I had gotten an opportunity to work with him for ‘Dharala Prabhu’, I was very excited. I’d told him that I was a huge fan of his, especially his work in films like ‘Kadhal Mannan’, ‘Manadhai Thirudivittai’ and ‘Minnale’. He used to share some fun work experiences with me. He was also a huge music lover and had narrated his interactions with legendary music composers like MSV and Raaja sir.”
He adds, “On the set, Vivek sir was always a jovial person. He used to keep the entire set happy. We had a lot of scenes together and had shot for more than 30 days. We used to talk about so many things like welfare, health and acting. He’d helped me a lot while filming and suggested a few improvisations. In fact, for my 2019 birthday, I’d requested him to guide me for tree planting and he’d given contacts and helped me through the process. I don’t think I would ever be able to watch ‘Dharala Prabhu’ again, I have so many wonderful memories with him. I even wished him for New Year’s and he had tweeted the first look of my upcoming film ‘Star’. It is heart-breaking to know that he is no more.”
